Fishing Docks
Appearance
The Fishing Docks is the economic harbour. It trains fishing and trading ships and is where fishing ships deliver their catch.
Placement
A dock must stand part on land and part in the water, facing the water:
- the back of the dock is on dry ground and its front edge is in the water;
- there must be deep water within reach beyond the front edge, where its ships are launched;
- if you place it facing the wrong way, it is turned to face the water automatically.
The placement preview refuses a site that does not meet these rules.
Function
- Accepts fish brought back by fishing ships. Fish count as Food.
- Trains ships (see the table). A ship is launched onto the water in front of the dock; if no navigable water is in reach, training is refused before any cost is paid.
- Is the end point for Trade Ship routes between allied docks.
