The Town Hall is the centre of every settlement in Dawn of Embers. It trains villagers, provides population, and accepts almost every resource as a drop-off.
Starting the game
In a skirmish each player begins with a finished Town Hall and 5 villagers around it.
Function
- Trains villagers. Male and female villagers cost the same (50 Food, 12 s) and work the same way.
- Population: provides +30 population capacity.
- Drop-off: accepts Wood, Stone, Gold, berries and farm Food, and hunted game. It does not accept fish, which go to the Fishing Docks.
Training
- A building can queue up to 5 units. The cost is paid when a unit is queued.
- Cancelling a queued unit refunds its full cost.
- Queued units reserve population: you cannot queue past your population cap. The game tells you: "Population limit reached (used/cap) - build more houses."
Losing the Town Hall
If the Town Hall is destroyed you lose its 30 population capacity at once. Units already alive are kept.
Losing the Town Hall does not by itself end your game. In a skirmish a player is eliminated only when they have no living units and no standing buildings left.
During a story mission the Town Hall cannot be deleted by its owner.
