The Trade Cart is a trading unit trained at the Trading Hub. It earns gold by travelling between its home Trading Hub and an ally's Trading Hub. It cannot attack.

Trading

  • The cart's home is the Trading Hub that trained it. Order it onto an ally's built Trading Hub to start a route.
  • It travels home, then to the ally's hub, then home again, repeating. The gold is paid to the cart's owner when it returns home.
  • Allies only: a route to your own Trading Hub is refused.
  • Gold per round trip = 0.40 x (distance between the two hubs in metres, minus 40), rounded, between 0 and 120. Hubs 40 m apart or closer pay nothing; the 120 cap is reached at 340 m.
  • Any move order you give the cart ends its route.
  • Computer opponents do not train Trade Carts in the current build.

Combat

The Trade Cart has no attack (Attack 0, Range 0). It cannot fight; it relies on other units for protection.

It has 120 hit points and 2 armour. Every hit it takes is reduced by its armour, to a minimum of 1 damage per hit (see Damage types).

Training

  • Trained at: Trading Hub.
  • Cost: 50 gold, 100 wood. The cost is paid when the unit is queued. Cancelling a queued or in-progress unit refunds the full cost.
  • Train time: 25 seconds. Training-speed bonuses from the owner's Calling and Disciplines shorten it; no unit trains in under 0.5 seconds.
  • Population: 1. Training is refused when living units plus everything already queued in all of the player's buildings, plus this unit, would pass the population cap.
  • A building holds at most 5 units in its training queue.

Notes

  • The trade formula's constants are a starting point and may be tuned.
