The Fishing Ship is a naval worker built at the Fishing Docks. It gathers fish from shoals and carries them back to a drop-off, the same way a villager gathers on land. It cannot attack.
Gathering
- A ship can gather fish only; an order onto any other resource is refused.
- The owner's gathering bonuses (Calling and Disciplines) increase the load a ship carries.
- While it carries fish, its unit panel shows the load, and a fish pile is visible on deck.
Combat
The Fishing Ship has no attack (Attack 0, Range 0). It cannot fight; it relies on other units for protection.
It has 150 hit points and 2 armour. Every hit it takes is reduced by its armour, to a minimum of 1 damage per hit (see Damage types).
Training
- Trained at: Fishing Docks.
- Cost: 75 wood. The cost is paid when the unit is queued. Cancelling a queued or in-progress unit refunds the full cost.
- Train time: 30 seconds. Training-speed bonuses from the owner's Calling and Disciplines shorten it; no unit trains in under 0.5 seconds.
- Population: 1. Training is refused when living units plus everything already queued in all of the player's buildings, plus this unit, would pass the population cap.
- A building holds at most 5 units in its training queue.
Notes
- Ships move only on water. A ship turns toward its course before it sails, and an order to a point it cannot reach by water is refused.
- A ship can only be trained when navigable water lies within reach of the dock; otherwise training is refused before payment.
